During this 4 hour Retreat, participants will enjoy the company of Michelle Miller and Fi Wilkie - both experienced, and long time teachers and artists. Michelle and Fi share a love of teaching their students about the transforming and empowering qualities, creativity and art process have in our lives.
This workshop teaches two very different processes and provides the student with some fabulous drawing experiences that focus on mark making session We will experiment with making 'nature brushes' and then learn about the principals of design as we develop your working drawings.
Don't worry about your drawing skills - this is about making unique and interesting marks and everyone can do this.
All materials for both sessions are supplied.

Who can do this workshop?
No experience required.
First part of the workshop works with painter Fi Wilkie - she is about ‘ freeing up ‘ drawing and mark making techniques to create unique and interesting shapes and lines - The teaching style Fi uses is designed help nervous or less experienced students get around their 'novice' status. The results are always fabulous.
We then learn how to develop a design, for application.
During the second part of the workshop we will dive into a world of silk, and steam with Michelle, as we convert your drawings and designs into silk painting mark making, experimenting with the qualities ink and brush have to offer.
Fi and Michelle will guide you as you turn your very own design into a luxurious and striking silk scarf.
Finished and individually packaged for you to gift to yourself or to another.
This is an accessible, and joyful workshop and each participant takes home a truely striking and individual item.

We need a minimum of 6 people to offer this workshop to an open group. ( max of 8 people)
Private workshops for smaller groups may be arranged.
All drawing materials, pens, ink, brushes, paper and design advice and assistance.
All silk painting materials, equipment and packaging for your finished 200 x 20cm scarf.
* additional blank scarves may be purchased and painted during the workshop if your time and skills allow.
