Do this as a weekend retreat of Collage after joining us in the studio on Saturday for the Beginners Collage Workshop
Discount available for attending both
If you have attended the first Beginners Collage Workshop (running Saturday ) and are ready to tackle your own work - join us for a Winter Bushland and Wildflower inspired session where Fi takes you thru the whole process she uses to find her inspiration. Join her on a bushwalk, learning to record and respond to the natural environment and then come back to the studio to do the kind of drawing that introduces the quirky and the essential to her subjects. We then show you how to break down what you have into a collage friendly format.
Students learn about the essential elements of design. How to decode and understand how colour, value, composition and shape are essential to all strong image making.
You’ll see how to find your inspiration and filter out what is not if interest to you - this workshop is inspired by the unique plants and animals of the local South West environment, but the process you learn is something you can use anywhere and with any subject matter later on.
We cover information around framing, alternate substrates and archival issues dealing with this medium.
To build creative confidence and learn how to resolve common problems with constructing collage and building interesting and dynamic compositions.

"A joyful day in and out of the studio. Fi really changed the way I looked at the world around me. I started to see everything in a different way - judging it for its value to me and my art work, its shape and colour - a mind shifting workshop" Penny.
"Working alongside Fi in the bush and taking us through her process was really valuable. This is a great medium with lots of room for adjustments and learning as you go. It has definitely made me feel more confident about what I do in my studio and I will be reusing this process to develop my ideas"
